My preparation at Wall Street-Santa Barbara

The reason I chose to study at Wall Street is because I want to get a Master Degree in Economics applied to business in the United States. I had to choose an institution with high quality, recognition, experience, proven method that was suitable for my needs.

I heard from Wall Street at the University. I studied 2 semesters of Economics at Rosario University and I recall this institute had a center inside that University. I remember that I was curious about it and so I asked information about it. They told me about it, I was really looking forward to studying there however back in those days I couldn’t due to financial reasons.

I always wanted to study in an institute with such recognition as Wall Street and, thank God, finally I got the chance. I bought a six-month membership from late June 2009 to early December 2009. During this time I completed five levels, from Upper Waystage 2 to Threshold 3.

When I started studying at Wall Street I hadn’t studied English since 2005. I didn’t study English at the University. Therefore I had many problems in English, I couldn’t speak English fluently, I had grammar problems and finally I tried to translate everything so it was very hard for me to communicate. Even though I did have experience in English my abilities were not balanced, so I really needed such a course.

As time went by and I progressed through the first 2 levels my English fluency improved greatly. Making the first two level took me two-three months but the results were clear and visible. I was really improving my English skills by doing the method thoroughly.

In order to send the paperwork to the Universities I wanted to apply for, I had to present two exams. These were the general GRE (Graduate Record Examination) and the TOEFL. At Wall Street I received extra help to improve my writing skills, I wrote some essays with a 30-min time limit like the one you must write in the TOEFL exam. I presented these exams in October and I got the grades I was expecting for.

In the TOEFL IBT exam I got a score of 106 out of 120. In the GRE general test I got the following scores: Verbal 440, Quantitative 630, and Analytical Writing 4.0. This score is an average score for those that want to apply to a Master’s Degree in Economics. The average scores are for Verbal 461, Quantitative 668. This means that I got grades that suffice the requirements of many universities in the United States for the degree I am aiming for.

For all those that need an excellent institute and require good qualifications I recommend Wall Street Institute as an investment you won’t regret. The quality of the whole process is incredible; I just hope everybody could experience the joy of studying here.

Cuando empecé a estudiar en WSI, todo me pareció excelente, el método, los profesores, los horarios, todas las instalaciones y el trabajo de las personas que se ocuparon de mí para que lograra mis objetivos como el haber pasado el Toefl a los 19 años. Recomendaría a WSI como el mejor lugar para aprender Ingles de verdad, ya que aquí todo es muy completo para que los estudiantes como yo podamos lograr las metas que tenemos en el idioma.

Entre a Wall Street hace un año, porque quería reforzar el Inglés que sabía hasta el momento y aprender lo que me faltaba, en este momento acabo de terminar Threshold 3 y me siento mucho mejor que cuando entre, el método es muy bueno porque te permite hacer el curso a tu ritmo, tiene actividades muy variadas, todo el personal es muy amable y esta siempre disponible a ayudarte.

Los resultados se pueden ver, hace un mes presente el TOEFL y obtuve un resultado de 110/120, gracias a la preparación que recibí en el Instituto.

El resultado se lo debo a la excelente orientación del profesor, los materiales y las actividades del curso. Debo decir que previamente, sin éxito, había realizado dos intentos de aprobar el examen, y que la diferencia de resultados se la debo a WSI.
